Family: Poly-Anionic Cellulose (PAC) Code: PAC-LV Product last updated: January 2026

Supply evaluation upon request — Legal Notice & Commercial Scope

Description

Low-viscosity grade of poly-anionic cellulose (PAC), oriented primarily to fluid-loss control with lower viscosity contribution than the HV grade.

Characteristics declared for the product and stated conditions. Selection and performance subject to technical evaluation of the fluid system.

Appearance

White to pale-yellow powder or granules.

Properties

Shares molecular structure with sodium CMC, with better fluid-loss control, salt-resistance and stability versus Na-CMC at equal dosage.

Main Advantages

  • Good thermal stability.
  • Resistance to acid, alkali and salt within pH 3–11.
  • Excellent compatibility with other cellulose ethers, water-soluble gums, softeners and resins.
  • Good solubility in cold/hot water.
  • High solution stability, anti-microbial and non-fermenting.
  • Low relative dosage versus CMC (30%–60%).

Application

Fluid-loss control with lower viscosity contribution. Suitable for fresh, salt, saturated-salt and seawater systems. PAC outperforms CMC on inhibiting clay hydration-dispersion and particle-size control.

Dosage Guidance

No absolute range documented. Approximate relative consumption: 30%–60% of CMC under identical conditions.

Indicative range from technical documentation. Final dosage requires testing and evaluation of the fluid system.
